improving family Life, relationships, COMMUNICATION and understanding.

Tamara Hirsch, LCSW

Welcome To My Practice!
I founded North Scottsdale Family Therapy, PLLC., a therapy practice focusing on providing guidance and support to families. I have over a decade of experience working with hundreds of families to improve communication and understanding, in order to strengthen and heal relationships.
All families face challenges. During stressful times, such as loss, divorce, school adjustment, or adolescence, it is easy to fall into unhealthy behaviors and poor communication patterns, which can result in a more fragile, vulnerable family unit. Family therapy helps family members to replace negative behavior patterns with healthier, positive behavior and communication which improves family relationships, increases understanding and ultimately strengthens the family unit. I have successfully helped many families learn to support one another through stressors and crises, and emerge even stronger.

In addition to providing family therapy, North Scottsdale Family Therapy, PLLC. also provides individual therapy for children and adults.

My Background:
I received my Masters degree in Clinical Social Work (MSW) from Boston College in 2005, completing graduate internships in outpatient therapy, crisis centers, and forensic settings. I was then offered a prestigious year-long fellowship in the Outpatient Department of Psychiatry at Boston's Children's Hospital, where I completed extensive post-graduate training in therapy and treatment. Subsequently, I have worked in a multitude of clinical settings with children, adults and families.
I have helped many families navigate the grief and complicated parenting issues associated with a separation or divorce, including teaching the state-mandated parenting class that is required for divorcing parents. In addition to divorce and separation, my areas of specialty include child-parent relationships, teenage-parent communication, and grief work with families.

I lived in the Boston area before moving to Arizona in 2011 with my family.

I encourage you to call me for a free consultation, during which you can ask any questions you have about me or my approach to therapy, and you can determine whether you think we will work well together. I look forward to speaking with you and meeting you and your family.
